On October 18, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, who arrived in Brussels on a working visit, met with Dimitris Avramopoulos, EU Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship.
At the meeting, the two sides commended the successful implementation over the past four years of the existing Armenia-EU agreements on visa facilitation and readmission. In this context, Minister Nalbandian attached an importance to improving the work of visa application centers set up in Yerevan by the EU member states.
Foreign Minister of Armenia and the EU Commissioner discussed issues related to possibility of launching dialogue on visa liberalization.
The interlocutors exchanged views on preparatory works for the Eastern Partnership Summit to be held in November.
