Armenian Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies Vahan Martirosyan received Syria’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Mohammed Haj-Ibrahim.
The Minister referred to the perspectives of bilateral cooperation in transport, communication and information technologies. He noted that he would be glad to see Syrian companies participate in programs important to Armenia.
The Ambassador briefed Minister Martirosyan on the situation in Syria, the ways of restoring the transport links. He voiced hope that the relations with Armenia will be restored and developed especially in the fields of passenger and cargo transportation.
He said the Syrian Transport Minister will soon present concrete proposals for cooperation.
At the end of the meeting reference was made to the steps towards establishing relations IT sector.
The Ambassador said he’s aware of Armenia’s progress in the field and noted that Syria needs IT specialists today.
