Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly Ara Babloyan has deplored the recent Azeri provocation at the shared border with Armenia.
Addressing the sitting of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly sitting in St. Petersburg, Babloyan said: “I regret that my first participation in the works of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly was preceded by yet another cynic step on the part of Azerbaijan at the shared border with Armenia.”
“As Armenia was hosting exercises of the CSTO Rapid Reaction Force, the Azerbaijani side shot dead a 19-year-old serviceman of the Armenian Armed Forces,” the Speaker noted.
He added that the incident is a challenge not only to Armenia.
