Armenia values Iran’s balanced stance on the Nagorno Karabakh issue, Armenia’s Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan said at a meeting with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani. He described it as “an important guarantee of regional and peace and security.”
Mr. Rouhani stated, in turn, that “Iran and Armenia can develop close cooperation to address the conflicts and crises that have engulfed the region.”
The interlocutors attached importance to the deepening of cooperation in a number of spheres including energy, agriculture, IT and tourism, as well as the growth of commodity turnover between the two countries.
“Armenia values the age-old warm and friendly relations with Iran anchored on serious historic grounds and reciprocal interests,” PM Karen Karapetyan said.
He noted that “the bilateral relations are on a high level and keep developing in an atmosphere of mutual understanding.
