British Parliament has been condemning the massacre of Armenians for hundred years: Alan Duncan

The UK Parliament has been condemning the atrocities and massacres [of Armenians] for hundred years, UK Minister for Europe and Americas Alan Duncan has said.

“We were at the forefront of condemning them at the time and we have done so,” Mr. Duncan said at a joint press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian in Yerevan.

“I went to the Memorial today and it was a very moving moment to me. And there at the exhibits, I found a number of documents from the UK Parliament from 1915-1916,” the Minister added.

“So here in Yerevan is the clear evidence of the British Parliament having condemned what happened for over a century,” Alan Duncan stated.

The UK Minister for Europe visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial earlier today, laid a wreath at the memorial to the innocent victims and toured the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute.
