Armenian Grand Master Levon Aronyan has won the first game of quarterfinals at the World Chess Cup 2017 underway in Tbilisi.
His opponent was the Ukranian Grand Master Vasiliy Ivanchuk. He had to give up on the 24th move.
The return games of the quarterfinals will take place tomorrow.
