France’s best winemaker Franck Thomas, who was named Europe’s best sommelier in 2000, has hailed the quality of Armenian wine, Press Service of the Ministry of Agriculture reports.
“Armenia is an interesting country to me as one of the birthplaces of wine,” said Franck Thomas, who recently held a wine testing and master class in Armenia.
“Armenian wines can have their place on the global market thanks to the local grape species they are made of,” the sommelier noted.
For over 10 years, Franck Thomas has been educating, supporting and advising professionals in the wine world.
Large companies have used his services for marketing, merchandising and communication in the wine, Champagne and spirits sector.
