Armenian firemen arrive in Georgia to help fight Borjomi wildfire

The rescue team of the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations has arrived in Georgia and deployed near Tsaghveri settlement in Samtskhe-Javakhk, the Ministry’s Press Service reports.

The Armenian firefighters will help Georgian colleagues fight wildfire in Borjomi Gorge

The Georgian authorities applied for international support after huge fire broke out on the territory of the Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park on August 20.

Armenia has dispatched eight fire engines, one rescue vehicle, one vehicle of the disaster medicine center and a mobile control point (with a 57-member staff), which will serve as operative actions coordinating headquarters at the scene.
