Armenia has become the winner of the 2017 Global RIA Awards in the category of “Impact of Regulatory Impact Assessments”. During the press conference in the Sputnik-Armenia Multimedia Press Center the director of “National Center of Legislative Regulations” Foundation Armen Yeghiazaryan said that the win of the Armenian project was a nice surprise.
The experts of the World Bank have highly appreciated the innovative approaches towards the regulation of the process of meat production.
The “National Center of Legislative Regulations” Foundation makes Regulatory Impact Assessments for already two years, cooperating with the Government, Armen Yeghiazaryan said. According to him, the program they have suggested is a serious tool which may help the Government in its decisions.
The 2017 Global RIA Awards – Highlighting Innovation and Impact of Regulatory Impact Assessments (RIA) in Developing and Transition Countries was carried out for the first time.
Representatives of 162 countries have participated from Europe, Asia, Africa and South America. Armenia is the only participant from the region.
