Ilya and Emilia Kabakov’s installations to be exhibited in Yerevan

Two installations by Ilya and Emilia Kabakov will be exhibited today in Hay Art Cultural Gallery Centre as a part of the events of “Standart” Triennal of Contemporary Art. The description of the event is published on the facebook page of the Gallery. The exhibition includes “Concert for a Fly, 1986” and “20 Ways to get an Apple listening to the Music of Mozart, 1997”. During the opening a live concert by students of the Tchaikovsky Special Music School of Yerevan will be performed.

Ilya and Emilia Kabakov are famous Soviet and American conceptualist artists, representatives of “Moscow Conceptualism”. They now live and work in Long Island, USA. They are the authors of such art works as “The Man Who Flew Into Space From His Apartment”, “The Man Who Never Threw Anything Away” and many others. Ilya Kabakov is also well known for his postmodernist drawing albums.

The exhibition will be open to public from July 21 to September 30.
