The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry today released a video of a man it said was a member of an Armenian “subversive group.”
The man, identified as Zaven Hovhannes Karapetyan, says in poor Armenian that he’s from Dovegh village and was recruited for paid combat duty.
Spokesman for the Armenian Defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan has said the man does not serve in the armed forces.
Meanwhile, head of the Dovegh village Samvel Gorginyan told Public Radio of Armenia that no one with the name lives in the village.
Earlier today the Artsakh Defense Ministry refuted the reports of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, claiming that they had prevented an Armenian infiltration attempt and taken a soldier prisoner.
