Three Armenians elected to French National Assembly

Three Armenians have been elected to the French Parliament, Nouvelles d’Armenie reports.

French President Emmanuel Macron’s party has won a clear parliamentary majority weeks after his own presidential victory.

With nearly all votes counted, his La République en Marche (LREM), alongside its MoDem allies, won more than 300 seats in the 577-seat National Assembly.

Jacques Marilossian, Danièle Cazarian, Guillaume Kasbarian will be represented in the French parliament. Nadia Essyan, whose husband is Armenia, has also been elected to the National Assembly.

Among the big losers during the second round was François Rochebloine, a friend of Armenia and Artsakh.
