Three Armenians were killed in a fire that burst out in a building in Marseille, France. Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tigran Balayan confirmed the news to Tert.am.
Three members of Kocharyan family were killed in the incident, while Arsen Kocharyan, 51, was taken to hospital.
The fire broke out at about 3 a.m., more than 20 residents were evacuated.
Three firefighters among the first responders suffered a heat stroke.
According to Marseille Prosecutor Xavier Tarabeux, four people were found dead at the site, one of them a 2-year-old baby.
Investigation is under way to reveal the cause of the fire.
