Two confirmed dead in Yerevan bus blast

The passenger bus blast in Yerevan has left two people killed and seven others injured, the Ministry of Emegency Situations has confirmed.

The explosion occurred at 9:51 p.m. on Halabyan Street. Emergency services, investigators are at the site of the blast.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations identifies the injured as Hasmik Suren Melkonyan (born in 1963), Anush Arshaluys Yeghikyan (born in 1979), Harutyun Nazar Terzyan (born in 1971), Edgar Arayik Gasparyan (born in 20020, Anahit Sargis Mikaelyan (born in 2002), Roland Surik Khojayan (born in 2001) and Arthur Vachik Margaryan (born in 1994) .

Two of the injured have been successfully operated on.

The victims are yet to be identified.

Probe into the causes of the incident is under way. No official versions of the blast have been named.
