Azerbaijani forces firing along Armenian border

The Azerbaijani side violated the ceasefire 17 times in the northeastern part of the Armenia-Azerbaijani state border last night and this morning, the Defense Ministry reports.

Heavy weapons including mortars were used. The shots from the Azerbaijani side were mostly chaotic.

The Ministry added that the Armenian Army demonstrated restraint and resorted to responsive measures only when strictly necessary.

According to the data of the NKR Defense Army, the rival violated the agreement on ceasefire last night, using artillery weapons and mortars.

The rival used 60mm mortars and HAN-17 grenades as it fired at the Armenian positions in the southern and eastern direction of the line of contact.

According to an agreement reached between the parties, the Azerbaijani side will be allowed to continue the search for the bodies of the killed soldiers.

One Armenian soldier is still missing, works are under way in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross to find information about his destiny.
