Tensions rise at Armenian Azerbaijani border, serviceman wounded

Tensions escalated at the northern section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border near the Berdavan and Koti settlements last night last night.

The Azerbaijani side used artillery weapons, 60 and 82 mm mortars as it opened fie in the direction of Armenian positions and populated areas, the Armenian Defense Ministry reports.

The rival was pressured by retaliatory measures taken by the front divisions of the Armenian Armed Forces. Contract serviceman Zori Ashrafyan  (born in 1983) was wounded in the attack.

The Armenian forces show restraint and continue to control the situation at the border, the Ministry said.
