The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned the military actions launched by the Azerbaijani armed forces all along the line of contact with Nagorno Karabakh and the Armenian border last night.
“Baku’s steps aimed at foiling the negotiation process, the recent refusal from a meeting with the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs, the new large-scale military actions initiated by the Azerbaijani side are recurrent useless attempts to speak in the language of blackmail,” the Armenian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
“Baku grossly violates all calls of the international community to solve the issue in a negotiated way. The OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, the OSCE German Presidency, the US Vice-President and the Ssecretary of State have come forth with such statements. This is how Azerbaijan responds to those calls,” the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
“On many occasions we have called the attention of the international community and urged to restrain Baku’s military aspirations, pointing to actions like the ones Azerbaijan is launching today,” the Ministry said.
“This new step of Azerbaijan is a testament to the fact that Baku is moving along the path of deliberate aggravation of the situation,” the Ministry said, adding that “practical steps on the part of the international community are a must.”
