The Azerbaijani side fired more than 400 shots in the direction of the Armenian positions last night.
The front divisions of the NKR Defense Army mostly refrained from retaliatory measures and confidently continued with their military duty all along the line of contact.
“The Azerbaijani side, which permanently undertakes assaults destabilizing the situation at the line of contact, continues to disseminate misinformation claiming that the Armenian forces opened fire in the direction of the Tapkarakoyunlu settlement targeting the houses and the village school,” the NKR Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
The Ministrysays the information spread by the Azerbaijani propaganda machine is nothing but deliberate provocation aimed at aggravatiing the situation at the frontline.
“The front divisions of the NKR Defense Army not only refrain from targeting civilian settlements, but also resort to retaliatory measures against Azeri forces only in cases of extreme necessity,” the Ministry said in a statement.
