The International ‘s theme of “Cultural Heritage: 100” was introduced to the public at a press conference in Istanbul, Daily Sabah reports.
The fourth edition of the festival, which will run from Dec. 6-12, is organized by the Bajar Cultural Art Consultancy. Speaking at the press conference, Festival President Oğuz Oktay said that the festival has “focused on sociological themes since day one” and that this year’s theme is “Cultural Heritage: 100.”
He said that Armenia will be the guest country at the festival. “We do not care about what happened politically 100 years ago. We want to rediscover our cultural heritage and reinforce brotherhood. I think Turkey, which has a population of 80 million, should approach Armenia, which has a population of 6 million, with kindness.”
