Armenian, French Presidents meet in Yerevan
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met with his French counterpart Francois Hollande, who has arrived in Yerevan to participate in the events commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
Serzh Sargsyan said it was a great honor for him to host the President of France in Armenia.
President Sargsyan underlined that “Armenia is proud to have privileged relations with a country like France.” He highly appreciated Mr. Hollande’s speech and the messages sent to the world, without which today’s events would not be complete.
Francois Hollande said, in turn, that he has a feeling he participated in a historic event in Armenia today. It was historic, because all participants sent messages of peace and hope to the nations that have been subjected to pressure and experienced bitterness over the history.
