Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been voted into Bundesliga’s Team of the Week.
According to Bundesliga’s official website, “the Armenian seemed to be free of the chains that have shackled his form this season, combining brilliantly with his team-mates and scoring the all-important opener against Paderborn.”
The 26-year-old attacker netted the opener for his side just minutes after the restart—only his second league goal of the campaign—before turning provider for Shinji Kagawa with 10 minutes of the fixture remaining.
Three key passes and three successful dribbles helped him gain a WhoScored.com rating of 9.62 in the victory, as Dortmund improved their chances of securing a European berth this season.
Mkhitaryan also features in the European Team of the Week.
