Cross-stone commemorating Armenian Genocide Centennial unveiled in Valence, France

A cross-stone in memory of the Armenian genocide victims was unveiled in Valence, France, on April 19.
The monument is a copy of a cross stone erected in Jugha in 699-702.
The solemn ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Valance, Nicolas Daragon, other officials, clergymen and representatives of the local Armenian community.
The Mayor’s 2014 decision to install a cross-stone in Valence in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide faced protests by Turkey.
