Khloe Kardashian signs petition urging Google to set Armenian Genocide Doodle on April 24

Reality star Khloe Kardashian has just joined the petition urging Google to set the Armenian Genocide Doodle on April 24.

Khloe also invites her 14 million followers on Twitter to sing the petition. “Please sign this petition to bring awareness to the Armenian genocide. I did!!!”

“My sister and I are trying to bring awareness not only to our Armenian genocide but genocides and human slaughter in general. Knowledge is power! If we know better than hopefully we shall do better. Genocides, massacres, human slaughter… are despicable acts!! attempting to wipe out an entire race is not what God intended. Educating people as to what happened in history is our duty. It is also our duty to not be silent whenever and wherever human beings endure suffering and humiliation no matter their race or creed. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented,” Khloe wrote on Facebook.

The petition on Change org, reads: “The Armenian Genocide was the Ottoman government’s systematic extermination of its minority Armenian subjects from their historic homeland within the territory constituting the present-day Republic of Turkey.

The starting date is conventionally held to be 24 April 1915, the day Ottoman authorities rounded up and arrested hundreds of Armenian intellectuals and community leaders in Constantinople. The total number of people killed as a result has been estimated at between 1 and 1.5 million.

This is why we have the responsibility of spreading awareness about the genocide, and why Google should get involved for all humanity.”

Last week Khloe Kardashian visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan along with sister Kim Kardashian and her husband, rapper Kanye West.
