Aznavour: We must recognize all genocides so that there are no more

Last Sunday, Pope Francis uttered publicly for the first time the term “genocide” to describe the Armenian massacres that took place between 1915 and 1923. Interviewed by Le Parisien and TV on Europe 1, French-Armenian singer Charles Aznavour reacted to this recognition.

“I expected him to do so,” Charles Aznavour said. “It is not normal that we do not recognize what was done,” he added.

“We must recognize all genocides so that there are no more. This is a very strong signal. The character is very strong,” he noted.
