The Armenian National Assembly unanimously adopted a statement condemning the Genocide against Greeks and Assyrians in the Ottoman Empire in 1915-1923.
The Armenian MPs may refer to another genocide in the near future. After yesterday’s debates at the National Assembly, representatives of the Yezidi community have applied to lawmakers with a request to condemn the genocide against Yezidis in the same Ottoman Empire.
The Prosperous Armenia Party is going to initiate a discussion on this, head of the PAP faction Naira Zohrabyan said. Speaker of the National Assembly does not mind.
