Switzerland’s Parliament will attend the Armenian Genocide centennial events with a representative delegation, Swedish Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Lukas Gasser told reporters in Yerevan.
In the coming weeks it will be clear who will be present at Tsitsernakabed for the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, he said.
Speaking about the Armenian-Turkish relations, Ambassador Gasser said “Switzerland is willing to act as mediator should the parties express the wish to normalize relations.”
The Ambassador believes that the Armenian-Turkish protocols are the best means for normalization of relation between the two countries, although the documents have been recalled from the National Assembly.
“We keep in touch with both Turkish and Armenian authorities,” Lukas Gasser said.
