Azerbaijan attempts to manipulate the norms of international humanitarian law: NKR FM

On March 17, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Karen Mirzoyan received Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk.

The sides exchanged opinions on a range of issues of mutual interest related, in particular, to the current situation on the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan and the monitoring conducted by the Office of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office.

During the meeting, the NKR Foreign Minister drew the attention of the Ambassador to the continuous attempts of Azerbaijan to manipulate and selectively apply the norms of international humanitarian law. In this context, the fate of the NKR citizen, Arsen Baghdasarian, who is kept captive in Azerbaijan, was touched upon.
