Juventus target Henrikh Mkhitaryan ‘feels great’ at Borussia Dortmund

Henrikh Mkhitaryan is happy at Borussia Dortmund and wants to stay with the club, according to his agent Mino Raiola, espnfc.com reports.

Mkhitaryan was linked with a move to Juventus in the January transfer window but a move failed to materialise.

The Armenia international, who signed for Dortmund from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2013, struggled for form during the first half of the Bundesliga season, as Jurgen Klopp’s team languished low down the table.

Raiola recently claimed that the “feeling” between his client and Dortmund “has broken down,” but the representative has now indicated Mkhitaryan sees his future with the German side.

“Henrikh feels great at Dortmund. It is not for nothing that we signed a five-year-deal [in 2013, when he joined BVB from Shakthar Donetsk] here. It was a well-considered decision to opt for Jurgen Klopp,” Raiola told Bild.

“Even though ‘Micki’ did not start every match after the winter break, I don’t have the impression that he wants to leave. Quite the contrary, he wants to achieve great things with Dortmund.”

Earlier this week, kicker reported that this summer Dortmund are not planning to spend more money in the transfer market than they earn through sales.

Regarding potential rebuilding of the BVB squad, Raiola said: “Should they plan without him in the summer, we can still see what’s best for both sides.”
