Armenian districts come under fire in Aleppo

Fresh militant attacks in Aleppo and its outskirts have targeted the city’s Christian population including Armenians, over the past days, Perio News reports.

The Syrian Army has recently launched heavy military actions in regions under the control of armed militant groups.

While the Syrian Army advances into the northern and western suburbs, the armed groups target the civilian population.

In the morning of February 17 armed terrorist groups attacked different districts of Aleppo, particularly the Christian and Armenian-populated neighborhoods.

A commercial district in central Aleppo also came under mortar attack. Most of the shops in the area belong to Armenians.

Eight people are reported killed, another 36 were wounded. A number of cars, houses and shops were damaged.
