Georgia’s Parliament Speaker visits Armenian Genocide Memorial

The delegation headed by visiting Georgian Parliament Speaker David Usupashvili visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial, accompanied by Vice-President of the Armenian National Assembly Hermine Naghdalyan and member of the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Commission between Armenian and Georgia Vahram Baghdasaryan.

The guests laid wreaths at the memorial to the Armenian Genocide victims and paid tribute to their memory with a minute of silence.

On behalf of the Georgian people, David Usupashvili once again expressed condolences to the Armenian nation over the tragedy of a century ago. “We should do everything to prevent the reoccurrence of such crimes, to ensure that there are no more wars in the world,” he said.

The Speaker stressed that the Georgian people stand next to Armenia at moments of sorrow and joy.
