French President Francois Hollande has sent a letter to His Holiness Aram I, the Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, in response to the latter’s message of condolences over the terrorist acts in France. The letter reads, in part:
“I would like to express gratitude to you for your sympathy, support and friendship offered at a time France’s heart was hit by an indescribably terrible and dreadful terrorist attack.
France will not give in to obscurantism and will continue to be the flagman of our fundamental values – freedom, tolerance, justice and peace on both national and international level.”
