German international Marco Reus has extended his contract with Borussia Dortmund, Bundesliga’s official website reports.
Reus, who had been linked with a host of leading clubs around Europe, put pen-to-paper on a new deal tying him to his home-town club until 30 June 2019.
“I am delighted to commit my future to BVB,” said Reus. “I am looking forward to a successful future with our team and our fantastic fans behind us. There is a lot of work to be done and I want to pitch in and play my part.”
With 34 goals in 72 Bundesliga appearances for Dortmund, Reus is a key figure at BVB. Despite the transfer rumours, club officials were always confident he would pledge his future to Dortmund.
