Armenia to be reviewed by UN Committee on Enforced Disappearances

Armenia is due to be reviewed for the first time by the UN Committee on Enforced Disappearances (CED) which is meeting in Geneva from 2 to 13 February.

The Committee, which is composed of 10 international independent human rights experts, monitors implementation of the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance.  Armenia is one of the 44 States that have ratified the Convention and so is required to submit a report for review to the Committee.

The Committee will hold a constructive dialogue with a delegation from the Armenian Government on February 3 and 4. The meetings will be held in Palais Wilson, Geneva.
