Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan had a phone conversation with Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu. Deputy Defense Minister David Tonoyan, in turn, talked to his Russian counterpart.
The Russian officials offered condolences over the murder in Gyumri and condemned the heinous crime. They pledged their support in the investigation of the case.
A special commission will arrive from the Russian Federation to investigate the incident, Spokesman of the Ministry of Defense Artsrun Hovhannisyan said in a Facebook post.
