Armenian Parliament mulls joining the Eurasian Economic Union

The Armenian National Assembly considers the issue of joining the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). The main reporter is Deputy Minister of Finance Suren Karayan.
“In case of joining the EEU Armenia will post an additional 1.2-2.5% economic growth,” Karayan said, adding that the positive reactions will come from the second half of 2015, while the results will become more tangible in 2016.
The Deputy Minister said the investments will grow and explained that other partner countries will be interested in investing in Armenia, as we are in a better position now.
