The body of one of the pilots of the Armenian helicopter downed by the Azerbaijani armed forces, the remains of the two others and some parts of the helicopter have been recovered from the crash site as a result of a special action undertaken by the NKR Armed Forces.
The Artsakh armed forces had to resort to a special operation to ascertain the fate of the crew, taking into consideration the official statements from the Azerbaijani side and the complete absence of negotiations.
Two Azerbaijani soldiers were killed during the special operation. The Armenian side has no casualties.
“This action was unprecedented in its nature and complexity, taking into consideration the heavy resistance on the part of the adversary,” Spokesman for the Armenian Ministry of Defense Artsrun Hovhannisyan said, adding that the enemy incurred great losses.
