James Appathurai, NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia, has expressed his concern about the downing of the Armenian helicopter during military trainings in Nagorno Karabakh.
“Concerned by reports about an Armenian helicopter being shot down by Azerbaijani forces,” Appathurai said in a Facebook post.
“Whatever the circumstances of the incident, both sides should remain calm and pursue a diplomatic resolution,” he added.
