Perspectives of Armenia-NATO cooperation discussed in Brussels

Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan has left for the Kingdom of Belgium for a working visit.

As part of the visit the Armenian Defense Minister visited the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, where he met with General Philip M. Breedlove, Supreme Allied Commander.

The parties discussed a number of issues related to international and regional security, the raise of the level of cooperation between the Armenian armed forces and NATO within the framework of international peacekeeping missions.

Minister Ohanyan next met with NATO’s Deputy Secretary General Alexander Vershbow. Issues related to Armenia-NATO cooperation, the challenges to regional and global security were discussed.

The parties highly appreciated the current level of cooperation and voiced hope that it would continue to develop in the future.
