The democratic and economic development processes in Ukraine will make Russia and other states to hold a normal, full-fledged dialogue with Ukraine, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Armenia Ivan Kukhta told reporters today.

Speaking about the parliamentary elections held in Ukraine, the Ambassador said the results showed that the citizens made their choice in favor of European integration.”

“The elections have been recognized by a number of international organizations, including the OSCE,” Mr. Kukhta said.

According to the Ambassador, “the democratic forces that entered the Parliament through the vote of the absolute majority of Ukrainians, will form a coalition and work towards implementation of reforms to bring all spheres in conformity with European standards with a view of bidding for EU membership in the future.”

The Ambassador stressed, however, that the elections were not conducted on the whole territory of Ukraine, and added he believes elections will be held in Crimea, as well.

He said “Ukraine will do its best to restore the territorial integrity.”

As for the information on the launch of Yerevan-Simferopol flights, Ivan Kukhta said the reports have already been officially refuted.
