Russian border troops to get additional 62 hectares in Armenia

Russian border troops deployed in Armenia will get additional 62 hectares, the government official Arman Sahakyan said during Cabinet’s session today.

As noted in the explanatory memorandum, the project for measurement of the territories occupied by the border troops is on. On the Araks River, namely in Syunik region (on the border with Iran) and in Ararat (border with Turkey) measurements are completed in full, in Yerevan the works are done by 75%, in the rest of the territories preliminary works are carried out.

Recall, Russian border guards are monitoring the Armenian border with Iran and Turkey, and in addition to these regions, they are deployed in Armavir, Aragatsotn and Shirak regions.
