Armenia will join the Eurasian Economic Union from January 2015: Kremlin

Armenia will join the Eurasian Economic Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan from January 1st, 2015. The corresponding agreement will be signed at the sitting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Minsk on October 10, Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters today, ITAR-TASS reports.

The expansion of cooperation with Vietnam, Israel, India and Egypt will also be on the agenda, he said.

According to him, the participants of the meeting will also analyze the process of implementation of the roadmap of Kyrgyzstan’s accession to the Union.

The Presidents of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan will participate in the Mink meeting, which will be the fourth this year. Ushakov said the heads of state will probably agree on another summit in Moscow in December.
