WBO (World Boxing Organization) super middleweight champion Arthur Abraham bested Paul Smith on Saturday night, according to a unanimous decision by the judges in the northern German town of Kiel and successfully defended his WBO title.
“I wanted to defeat him with a knockout, but it didn’t happen. The most important is that I won,” Arthur Abraham said in an interview with Public Radio of Armenia.
Smith insists he was robbed after the supper-middleweight champion was handed a unanimous points win and hopes for a rematch with Arthur Abraham.
Abraham says in response that he’s not afraid and is ready to fight anyone.
Abraham will arrive in Armenia next week to celebrate the victory with family and friends.
