Armenian President, UN Sec. Gen. meet in New York

On a working visit to the US, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon today.
The interlocutors exchanged views on issues high on the agenda of the 69th session of the UN General Assembly.
Serzh Sargsyan and Ban Ki-Moon discussed issues related to the stability and security in the South Caucasus. President Sargsyan briefed the UN Secretary General on the latest developments in the negotiation on the settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
Serzh Sargsyan reiterated Armenia’s willingness to maintain the active involvement in the activities of the UN and its agencies.

In New York President Sargsyan visited the Armenian St. Vardan Church and laid flowers at the memorial to the Armenian Genocide victims. The President also met with prominent representatives of the Armenian communities of New York and New Jersey.
