Some U.S. visa and consular processing fees to change on September 12

Effective September 12, 2014 some non-immigrant and immigrant visa application fees for certain categories will change. There will be no change in visitor (Business, Tourism, and Medical Treatment), student, or exchange visitor visa fees.  They are and will remain $160 per applicant.

The visa types that will be affected by this change are:

All visa applicants must pay the fee amounts in effect on the day they pay, with the exception of Immigrant Visa application processing fees paid domestically to the National Visa Center (NVC), which will be effective as of the date of billing.

Fees that decrease are not refundable.  If you pay a visa fee before September 12, 2014 and that fee decreases, we cannot give you a refund.

For non-immigrant fees that are increasing, visa fees already paid will be accepted 90 days after the new fees go into effect.

Full information about the fee changes can be found on travel.state.gov and on our website at http://armenia.usembassy.gov/visas.html .
