Today the Ambassador of U.S.A. to Armenia John Heffern referred in his video blog to recent escalation of border tensions.
“We once again extend condolences to the families of those killed and injured during the recent incidents,” the Ambassador stated, adding that the best way to honor the memory of those fallen is to stop the border clashes immediately.
“As Ambassador Warlick said, this conflict is not a frozen one. We call on Yerevan and Baku to take measures to reduce tension and respect the ceasefire. Threats and militant rhetoric will not help to resolve the conflict. There is no military resolution to this conflict. We call on the parties to start serious talks. The revenge and further violence will make it difficult to achieve peace,” Ambassador Heffern concluded.
