The ceasefire violations have reduced on the Line of Contact, resulting in a decrease of tension, Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Ministry said.
Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire about 40 times on Karabakh-Azerbaijan Line of Contact on August 11-12. Over 500 shots were fired at Karabakh frontline positions from guns of different calibers.
The frontline units of the NKR Defense Army observe the ceasefire and continue defending the border confidently.
Earlier, spokesperson for Defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan said the border tension has eased, and it is calm in the border villages.
