Russia bans transit flights to Armenia for Ukrainian air companies

Russia has prohibited the transit of Ukrainian flights in its air space, Russian PM Dmitry Medvedev stated. The ban will be imposed on transit flights of the Ukrainian companies to a number of countries: Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia and Turkey.
“For EU countries the revision is likely to take place in full, and with the United States negotiations on the use of trans-Siberian routes will be halted,” RF Prime Minister said.
Medvedev underscored that the government is considering measures to ban airspace for flights in the Asia-Pacific region for Western companies.
Moreover, Russia will stop talks with the United States on use of Trans-Siberian routes.
