RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandyan received Ambassador Herbert Salber, EU Special Representative for South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, who is in Armenia as part of his regional trip, RA MOD informs.
Greeting the guest Minister Nalbandyan congratulated Mr. Salber on taking the post of EU Special Representative for South Caucasus, voicing hope that he would use the skills acquired within OSCE during his mission.
The latest development of Nagorno Karabakh conflict regulation were discussed at the meeting in line of which EU’s continuous support to the efforts of OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs to the peaceful settlement of the conflict was highlighted.
Edward Nalbandyan attracted the attention of the Special representative to periodic provocation actions of Azerbaijan on the line of contact with Nagorno-Karabakh. The head of Armenian Foreign Ministry mentioned that Azerbaijan persistently refuses the offers made by the OSCE MG Co-chairs towards the progress of the settlement of the atmosphere of trust in the region.
The parties also referred to Armenia-EU cooperation, as well as exchange of ideas was made concerning a number of regional and international issues.
