RA Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received Canadian delegation led by the Minister of Labor and Social Development, Jason Kenney.
“We attach great importance to the development of both political and economic cooperation with Canada. I am sure, such visits contribute to the fortification of relations between our countries and peoples. In line with other countries, Armenia was the first to establish Embassy in Ottawa, treating it important for further boosting the bilateral relations,” Premier Hovik Abrahamyan mentioned welcoming the guest. The head of the Government extended his gratitude to Jason Kenney for significant personal contribution in the acknowledgement of Armenian Genocide and invited the guest to attend the commemoration ceremonies to be held in Yerevan next year dedicated to the centennial of that great tragedy.
Mr. Kenney, for his part, expressed gratitude for war reception and highlighted the role of the Armenian community of Canada in social, economic and cultural life of the country.
