On June 25 NKR President Bako Sahakyan signed a decree, posthumously awarding “For Service in Battle” medal to Armen Avetisyan, a serviceman of the NKR Defense Army, who was killed on June 24.
He was awarded the medal for the courage shown during the defense of the state borders of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic.
Armenian soldier Armen Avetisyan, born in 1995, was killed by the enemy’s bullet in one of the military units located in the eastern direction of the line of contact between the armed forces of Nagorno Karab
akh and Azerbaijan.
